Workshop Fabricator / welder Due to expansion and growth apermanent position hasarisen for a Welder/ Fabricator in Glasgow. The Role : Fabrication and Welding of Benches, Shafts, Rollers, etc in the workshop Working hours : Dayshift 07:30 to 4:00 Monday to Thursday, Friday 7.30am - 1pm Rate of Pay: £15.50 - £16.50 per hour depending on Experience enhanced rates for overtime Primary Objectives Welding and fabrication in a workshop setting. Working knowledge of surface welding and Fabrication to company and EN10-90 standards. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Time served welder/fabricator. Must be conscientious in approach to welding and fabrication to ensure high standards and quality. Act with honesty, integrity and accountability Ability to work well in a team Qualifications and Experience Requirements An NC/HNC in welding/fabrication preferred but not essential at least 4 years experience in the above role. Broad knowledge of welding and fabrication operation and procedures as required for the role and may include: Manual Metal Arc (MMA) Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) Metal Active/Metal Inert Gas (MAG/MIG) Gas shielded Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) Oxy-Acetylene cutting/welding Machine/workshop power tools and machinery.
