My client is looking to appoint a Site Supervisor to join them on a permanent basis. My client is a regional main contractor who deliver projects across a range of sectors including health, education, industrial and commercial. This role sites within the Minor Works division who deliver a wide range of new, and refurbishment projects up to £3m in value. The role of the Site Supervisor is to plan, execute and deliver the building project. Overseeing the site operations, on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that the projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the quality standards expected. Key Responsibilities - Supervise all construction and site activities for small projects including the site supervision of workers and subcontractors - Assist the Contracts Managers in the project planning of the work and maintain the progress of the programme of works - Liaise with the Construction/Contracts Manager to ensure adequate labour and subcontract resource is available on the site - Requisition of all materials/plant and oversee the deliveries and ensure they are acquired in adequate time in line with the construction programme and procurement schedule. - Handle, store, protect and inspect all construction materials/plant delivered to site - Plan and efficiently organise the site facilities and logistics, ensuring all equipment on site is fit for purpose and only operated by appropriately trained operatives. - Ensure all Health & Safety requirements are adhered to and that the works are carried out in a safe manner - Quality check work carried out and ensure it meets the standards to the specified requirements of client and approved codes of practice - Prepare and complete accurate records for site reports and Quality Management Systems - Prepare and timesheets for site operatives for authorisation by Construction/Contracts Manager - Prepare necessary reports for project and attend required site meetings - Liaise with clients, client's agents, architect, engineer, and statutory authorities as required Experience, qualifications and key skills - SSSTS Certification - CSCS Card - First Aid at Work - Full Driving Licence - Well presented - Self-motivated - Excellent timekeeper - Literate and numerate - Resilient and works well under pressure - Ability to motivate - Good communication skills - Enthusiastic, inspirational and demonstrate high integrity - Ability to lead a team - Problem solver - Be able to delegate tasks - Good attention to detail - IT literate and conversant with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project - The ability to manage teams including supply chain, direct employees and subcontractors Salary, hours and Benefits - £33,380 per annum payable weekly - 39 hours per week - Mon-Thurs Fri - Weekly Spot bonus for 39 hours - £40.00 - Company Van This is a superb opportunity to join an established but growing business working with opportunity for career progression.
