We offer a hands-on collaborative role working within the People Services team and in conjunction with our Communications team. Helping to support our 610 volunteers and their line managers, you will assist with our volunteer engagement survey, event, communication, celebration, organisation and coordination of listening groups.
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Engagement Volunteer to join our People Services team.
We’re looking for a creative communicator with a passion for volunteer engagement.
This role will require a tenacious person to help implement our 2025 volunteer engagement plan, including event organisation, assisting with the creation of volunteer communications, organising celebrations and coordinating and attending listening groups both at the Hospice and across our retail shops.
We will rely on you to follow up on actions captured in action plans and be instrumental in helping raise awareness of volunteering opportunities, as part of the team, help fill vacant positions, and work with managers to help them develop volunteers and recognise their achievements.
We are an independent local charity in the Heart of Kent (Aylesford), offering a wide range of services to support local people and their loved ones, who are living with a life-limiting or terminal illness.
The work we do makes a real difference to the lives of local people, and we support over 1000 patients at any one time between our Inpatient Unit and Community teams. The majority of this care is funded by the support given to us by our local community.
