Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for a Children’s Social Worker (Proficient) to provide comprehensive social work services to children and families, with a focus on safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children in need. This role requires a commitment to child-centered practice, professional leadership, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for children.
Key Responsibilities:
You will ensure the safety and welfare of children in need, promoting their health, development, and sense of permanence. Securing stable, long-term living arrangements for children who cannot live at home and supporting their progress according to care plans is essential. You will place children’s needs and perspectives at the forefront of all professional activities, from assessment to intervention. Leading and uniting professionals across disciplines to address the comprehensive needs of children, particularly those under protection or in care, is crucial. You will work with parents, caregivers, and alternative care providers to enhance protective factors and prepare children for adulthood.
Key Duties:
* Handle information about children and families in line with policies, protocols, and the Data Protection Act.
* Perform assessments, planning, reviews, and other case management tasks to a high standard.
* Adhere to legal, regulatory, and professional standards related to child welfare.
* Make sound judgements regarding children’s needs, parenting capacity, and the influence of community or environmental factors on child welfare.
Qualifications:
To be eligible for this role, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW) or equivalent, registration with the relevant professional body, a proficient understanding of child welfare laws, regulations, and guidelines, and experience in child welfare services, case management, and child advocacy.
