Industrial Facilities Manager Contract Duration/Type: Permanent Location: Mallusk Overview of the role: We are recruiting an Industrial Facilities Manager based at a client's site in Mallusk Co. Antrim The successful candidate will manage the provision of an outsourced utility, facilities and energy management service for industrial clients to deliver an outstanding standard of utility plant operation and mechanical and electrical maintenance services. The Industrial Facilities Manager will manage an on-site team of technicians and operators and liaise with subcontractors, colleagues and clients to ensure the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of a variety of industrial equipment. Key deliverables include optimising plant uptime and asset lifecycles, driving energy efficiency whilst meeting all statutory and other compliance requirements. We are looking for somebody who is driven, proactive and possesses exceptional customer engagement skills. Duties of the Role include: Manage and motivate a team of mechanical, electrical and process technicians and operators Ensure there are robust practices developed and embedded to ensure the service is delivered in a manner which protects the health and safety of everyone involved - employees, sub-contractors, client personnel Ensure a robust equipment PM service is developed and delivered with good adherence to schedules Ensure robust O&M practices are delivered through development and delivery of SOPs Ensure O&M documentation & records are kept updated Support fault-finding and troubleshooting with utilities equipment as necessary to maximise equipment uptime for the client Ensure tracking and timely completion of all reactive tasks Liaising with and co-ordinating of third party contractors and suppliers on site Provide emergency response standby and call out support as required Develop, monitor and report on service delivery KPIs Set up, lead and deliver the Veolia - Client meeting and reporting structure to ensure proactive information flow on contract performance and to nurture the Veolia-Client partnership approach Manage all required Internal and External reporting together with customer and 3rd party audit requirement Work with the Veolia finance teams to develop contract budgets and deliver strong P&L performance and cash flow management including monthly financial reporting Identify and coordinate delivery of self and team training requirements to ensure appropriate competence requirements are continually met, including statutory aspects Delivery of structured continuous improvement in relation to energy, cost, or other operational metrics - management of the associated register of opportunities Drive contract longevity and growth through excellent customer service in current contract scope and seeking out opportunities for additional scope to meet client needs Planning and project management of plant upgrades and improvement works Required skills for this role: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related science discipline with 3 years experience and/or t rade qualified, with City & Guilds or equivalent, in Mechanical / Electrical / Building Services engineering with 3 years experience and/or 3 years relevant experience in Mechanical / Electrical / Building Services / Utilities management in an industrial / manufacturing setting Experience with industrial utility systems for Boilers, Steam, LTHW, Refrigeration, Pumping, Compressed air, Effluent treatment, Fire detection & Sprinklers, Air handling and Air conditioning, Energy Management Systems, and Building Management Systems Able to demonstrate strong computer literacy Knowledge of Health & Safety statutory legislation and requirements thereof Knowledge of ISO management systems e.g. ISO 14001, 18001, 50001 Experience working with Computerised Maintenance Management (CMMS) (e.g. CONCEPT/SAP) Experience working with a documented Permit to Work Systems, Method Statement and Risk Assessment protocols, COHE methods and LOTO systems, working at height, control of working in confined spaces using permit, safe chemical handling Demonstrate excellent standards in customer relationship management Good communication skills (report writing and information capture) Work well with others, helping to generate a positive team atmosphere Build effective working relationships with Veolia colleagues and Client personnel Proven track record in Commercial / Industrial Projects desirable Training and experience in working at height, control of working in confined spaces using permit and LOTO systems, safe chemical handling Here at Veolia, we're proud to be known as an equal opportunities employer.
