Category Manager
2 - 3 days per week in the Hull area
Up to £68,000 basic, bonus, car allowance etc.
New Chapter Consulting are seeking a Category Manager to join a wonderful company, regarded as a leading supplier of the highest quality products to the UK’s leading grocery retailers.
You have experience conducting continual analysis of category feedback and identifying any hidden gaps and areas for development. You’ll identify any potential risks, understand supply changes, implement innovative and new ideas and be able to present and forecast any potential category changes.

Key Responsibilities
· Drive the category function by analysing data and interpreting market trends and providing insightful feedback
· Create effective business plans and communicate category initiatives with external customers and internal stakeholders
· Create as required a range of category reports in line with customer expectations, analyse and generate actionable insight which will demonstrably improve business and customer category performance in both quantitative and qualitative ways.
· Work with the Commercial team to enable the creation and execution of meaningful customer plans in line with Account Plans / JBPs.
· Confident with numbers and able to apply numerical data to create a narrative
· Lead specific category activities - store trials, conducting relevant consumer research e.g. usage and attitude studies, focus groups, etc through a self-managed network of providers.
About you
· Category experience working with Uk retailers
· A natural with numbers and experienced in analysing insightful data to maximise opportunities
