The opportunity: This is an exciting opportunity to join our finance team as we continue in our ambitious plans to achieve better outcomes for the children and young people in our care. OUTLINE OF DUTIES: • Assist in the billing process, raising and distribution of invoices to customers on a timely basis. • Posting of remittances and account reconciliations. • Track and monitor customer payments to pre-empt queries that may result in delayed payments. • Respond to and investigate customer queries received into the sales ledger inbox. • Resolve customer queries and post the required accounting entries to do so. • Follow the escalation procedure in the event remittance is not made. • Use each query resolution experience as an opportunity to learn and improve the process to going forward. • Support other team members and the Credit Control Supervisor with ad hoc tasks and reporting as required. • Provide cover in the absence of other staff as directed. • Work within the provisions of the Data Protection Act, observing strict confidentiality in relation to all aspects of work undertaken. • To be aware of and work within the Company’s health and safety policies, relating to the working environment and building security, reporting any issues promptly to immediate Line Manager. • Develop personal skills and capability through on-going training as provided internally by the company or externally subject to company approval and as agreed with your Line Manager.
