Your Tasks
Monthly Reporting
* Prepare, analyze, and report monthly financial information, ensuring timely, accurate, complete, and compliant reporting.
Annual Accounts and Statutory Audit
* Lead the annual reporting process, including preparing audited financial statements, managing relationships with external auditors, and ensuring all required information is provided. Ensure the statutory audit is completed without material corrections/deviations, and the annual report is completed on time and approved by external auditors.
Internal and External Reporting
* Provide standardized overviews to the Management team for cash flow, balance sheet development, and credit management. Continuously seek ways to improve and enhance reporting and business partnering across the organization.
* Ensure timely and complete reporting for all internal and external requirements, including tax reporting, Office for National Statistics submissions, internal budgeting and forecasting, month-end and year-end close. Ensure compliance with new corporate legislation.
Team Leadership
* Lead the Accounting Controller and Accounts Payable Clerk, fostering opportunities for ongoing growth and development.
Tax
* Manage UK tax compliance and governance activities, including VAT and Corporation Tax liabilities. Liaise with the company’s tax advisers and Beiersdorf head office tax team. Develop processes for new legislation.
* Implement and produce intercompany charges to ensure compliance with transfer pricing.
Treasury
* Assist with planning and monitoring incoming and outgoing cash flows, securing the proper cash position of the company, and managing liquid funds efficiently. Ensure timely and accurate execution of intercompany loans and deposits with European affiliates.
Policies
* Implement changes in Group policies and procedures to ensure UK compliance with Corporate Standards.
Risk Management
* Ensure UK compliance with internal controls and maintain an appropriate risk management system covering all financial, legal, and tax implications. Coordinate the annual insurance renewal for the business.
Process Development
* Develop and improve systems and processes to ensure the effective operation of the Financial Controlling team.
Your Profile
* Educated to degree level
* ACA, CA, ACCA, CIMA qualified
* Practical experience in controlling/accounting/audit and IFRS/FRS 101
* Critical thinker with analytical and problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
* SAP experience desirable
* Strong communicator
* Resilient

* High level of personal ownership and autonomy

* Prioritisation to ensure all key deadlines are met

Prepare and present key financial information to the Board, regional team, and other stakeholders to support decision-making.
