This role could be open to part-time to start with but will transition to full time permanent office base
We are seeking an ambitious Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic and progressive company during a period of accelerated and sustained growth, both nationally and internationally. This role offers the chance to be a pivotal team member, ensuring the seamless delivery of our services while working closely with academic leaders and leveraging technology to optimise business processes. MUST HAVE XERO EXPERIENCE
Day-to-day of the role:
* Manage Aged Debtors & Aged Creditors Control.
* Maintain Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet.
* Review and approve Purchase Invoices and Pro Forma.
* Approve and process personal and credit card expense claims.
* Handle accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and provisions.
* Conduct credit card and bank reconciliations.
* Prepare and post nominal journals.
* Assist in procurement processes.
* Take inbound calls to manage customer enquiries.
* Manage the inbox and respond to emails.
* Reconcile invoices against their statements.
* Support with general administration duties and filing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Part Qualified AAT or qualified by experience and any relevant accounting qualification.
* Minimum of 3 years working experience in a similar role.
* Honest with strong moral principles.
* Proactive in improving knowledge and abilities.
* Keen eye for detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Good to excellent Excel skills.
* Must have experience with Xero.
