Working in a small team with expert guidance and tuition to understand the basic procedures and case management systems of a digital-based firm. Progression is expected to become a competent and successful trainee solicitor working on cases from complex, page-heavy fraud and white-collar crime to serious violent offences. You will develop into having regular and constant contact with clients who are mainly in custody awaiting trial.
Responsibilities:
1. Basic administration duties including answering the phone and fielding calls.
2. Scanning any post and ensuring it is attached to case files and sent to the right fee earner.
3. Bringing character and personality to a small team.
4. Listening and following instructions from management.
5. Keeping training records up to date.
6. Being an active team player and believing in working together to achieve better results.
7. Checking stationary stock levels and re-ordering when required.
8. Opening files on the digital case management system.
9. Understanding the minimum requirements set by the Legal Aid Agency and implementing them.
10. Considering prosecution evidence.
11. Providing analysis of prosecution evidence.
12. Attending conferences with barristers and clients.
13. Arranging experts to undertake assessments.
14. Attending court to represent the firm at hearings with clients and barristers.
15. Attending social events as a representative of the firm.
16. Attending seminars hosted by legal professionals as a representative of the firm.
