Teaching Assistant - Year 4 (1:1 ADHD Support) - Blackburn Romano Education is recruiting on behalf of a primary school in Blackburn to find a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 pupil with ADHD. This is a long-term maternity cover position, with an immediate start after February half-term. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with ADHD. Assist the pupil in their daily classroom activities and learning tasks. Support the pupil's emotional and behavioural needs, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Work closely with the class teacher to ensure the pupil’s needs are met and progress is tracked. Help with the development and implementation of strategies to manage ADHD-related challenges in the classroom. Monitor and support the pupil during break times and transitions between activities as a Teaching Assistant. Requirements: Previous experience working with children, particularly those with ADHD or additional needs, within the last 2 years. Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within a school setting. While a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) is desirable, it is not essential for this role. Passionate about supporting children and helping them reach their full potential. Hours and Pay: Working Hours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Pay: £14.55 per hour.
