Salary: A£ 13.00 to A£13.50 per hour
Full Time; Permanent. Monday to Thursday 7am to 3.30pm and Friday 7am to 2.30pm

Curtis Furniture are pleased to be recruiting for an experienced Goods In and Transport Administrator or Coordinator to join a well-established company and market leader in the manufacture of furniture for the Hospitality Industry. They manufacture and fit out Hotels with bespoke furniture for clients such as Hilton, Sheraton, Holiday Inn & Crowne Plaza.
Job Purpose
The Goods In and Transport Administrator plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the Goods In area and the logistics within the dispatch team. This involves coordinating and managing both Goods into the business and the transportation schedules to ensure timely delivery and collection of furniture products while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities
1. Check goods in against delivery notes for accuracy and damages and report where needed.
2. Load and unload trucks following H&S processes.
3. Fully label (non-shelf) items using GR labels.
4. Move goods to the relevant departments/stock locations.
5. Pack and palletise goods.
6. Collate accurate kits in time for both assembly and dispatch departments.
7. Book goods out.
8. Schedule & book deliveries and pickups to meet production and delivery deadlines.
9. Plan and coordinate transport routes to optimize efficiency.
10. Manage transportation budgets and negotiate rates with freight providers.
11. Liaise with the accounts team to sign off invoices.
12. Communicate with suppliers, colleagues, and team members when required, advising them of any outstanding requirements or providing updates.
13. Fulfil transport requests from colleagues within the business.
14. Provide holiday cover for Dispatch Supervisor.
15. Serve as the liaison between project management, site teams, and transport providers.
16. Address and resolve any issues or delays that arise in transit processes.
17. Maintain detailed records of shipping documentation, including orders and invoices to enable reporting when required.
