Job summary The Head of Clinical Systems is a key role within IM&T at WVT with responsibility for managing the Clinical System Management Team. The team are responsible for managing clinical systems to ensure our teams, operational, clinical and administration staff, are able to provide digitally enabled patient care. Key to the role are team development skills especially those that can support optimisation of clinical systems. Essential is the ability to work collaboratively, both internally with IM&T Project team, and externally with Group and ICB colleagues and system suppliers. As a Senior member of the IM&T team the postholder is expected to support the Associate Director with local digital strategy and provide expertise on advanced clinical systems. Main duties of the job To manage the Clinical Systems team to ensure clinical systems are safe efficient and effective for staff within the organisation. To have overall responsibility for configuration, testing and maintenance activities of clinical systems. Ensuring that they are safe in clinical practice. To manage resources within the team to ensure training, optimisation and development is managed within available resource. Lead on ensuring clinical systems are optimised for use, ensuring good communication is provided to all including external stakeholders and suppliers.
