CNC programmer| setter & operator Experimental Manufacturing\n\n\nTo program| set and run various multi axis CNC machines to specified instruction and using feedback from part measurements| Manufacture of high-precision complex components and assemblies.\n\n\nRoles & Responsibilities\n\nRoles \n \tTo adhere to company policies| standards and procedures including safety| quality| environment| and company Beliefs.\n \tTo follow department work requests\n \tTo provide clear status on task progress and workload\n \tTo participate in team meetings as applicable\n \tTo write| or contribute to continuous improvement of; work instructions| processes| test methods| etc \n\nResponsibilities (Functional)\n \tTo carry out engineering tasks using CNC and manually operated machines and hand tools.\n \tTo use a variety of measuring equipment.\n \tTo follow manufacturing layouts| routings| and control plans.\n \tTo complete the necessary supporting documentation for each works order and produce status reports when requested.\n \tTo set up of process to establish 1st off sign off and maintain required quality standard.\n \tTo identifying standard tooling and equipment required for area of responsibility and maintaining availability of these items| ordering replacements| segregation for regrind| storage.\n \tTo conduct front line maintenance and basic fault diagnosis within the limits of training on equipment used.\n\n\nMandatory\n \tAbility to understand engineering drawings and specifications.\n \tAbility to understand GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing)\n \tAbility to use and program CNC machines.\n \tAbility to utilise a variety of manufacturing techniques.\n \tAbility to use a variety of measuring techniques and types of equipment.\n\nDesirable \n \tFamiliar with use of CAD models\/ Solid Works or similar.\n \tGood IT skills Microsoft Office\n \tUnderstanding of British and International standards relating to metrology.\n \tFamiliar with use of route cards| control plans and production of components to drawing.\n\n\n\nExperience & Qualifications\n\nMandatory\n \tApprenticeship or experience in an Engineering related discipline; Mechanical| software| electronics| etc.\n \tA good understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.\n \tExperienced in the manufacture to high precision tolerances (micron).\n \tData collection to qualify products \/ components as part of a quality system.\n\n\nDesirable \n \tHNC or other Engineering qualification\n \tExperience of working in a proto-type small batch environment.\n \tGibbsCAM CAD\/CAM software or similar PC-based computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) system for programming computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools.\n\n\n\n
