Position: HLTA
Location: Hackney
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Are you a passionate and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking to make a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs?

Role Overview: As an HLTA, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a variety of additional needs. You’ll collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to provide personalized interventions and foster an inclusive, nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in planning and delivering tailored lessons to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN.
2. Lead one-to-one and small group sessions to boost academic and personal growth.
3. Contribute to the creation, implementation, and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
4. Track and report on student progress, ensuring clear communication with teachers and parents.
5. Promote positive behaviour and support classroom management strategies.
6. Help create an engaging, safe, and supportive environment where every student feels valued.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA, ideally in an SEN environment.
2. Familiarity with SEN strategies, interventions, and best practices.
3. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
4. A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to supporting students with additional needs.
5. A commitment to creating an inclusive and inspiring learning atmosphere.
