We are seeking a talented and flexible Relief Chef to join our culinary team on an as-needed basis. The Relief Chef will step in to cover absences, assist during peak periods, and support special events across various locations.
This role is perfect for a versatile and experienced chef who enjoys a dynamic work environment and has a passion for cooking.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals according to menu specifications and dietary requirements
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies
Adapt to different kitchen environments and work collaboratively with diverse teams
Assist with menu planning and development when needed
Manage kitchen operations efficiently, including inventory management and stock control
Provide training and support to kitchen staff as required
Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen at all times
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Chef in various settings (e.g., restaurants, hotels, schools, care homes)
Culinary qualification or relevant training is preferred
Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to different kitchen environments
Excellent cooking skills and creativity in menu planning
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Availability to travel to different locations as needed
