Job summary Blakeney Surgery (part of GDOC LTD) has a vacancy, for a part-time dispenser to join our friendly and experienced dispensary team at Blakeney Surgery. The dispensary is an integral and valued part of the pharmacy team (including Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technician) & the wider practice team at Blakeney. Our focus is to ensure that all medicines are dispensed in a safe and timely manner. We provide & ensure we maintain a high level of service to patients, Doctors, Nurses and other members of the Practice team. The Care Quality Commission requires us to have a complete employment history from the age of 16, including explanations for any gaps in employment. Main duties of the job Dispensary Duties: Ensure dispensing procedures are carried out adhering to Practice Standard Operating Procedures Participate in weekly monitored dose system orders (where applicable) Hand out prescriptions and dispensed items and collect payments where appropriate Deal with queries relating to prescriptions as necessary Ensure outstanding queries are explained and handed over to next shift as necessary Undertake DRUMs as required Respond to requests from Clinical members of the practice during surgery Ensure drug alerts are dealt with promptly ( full job description attached/below ) Working Conditions The job is primarily based at Blakeney Surgery, although the successful candidate may occasionally need to cover at another practice.
