About the Role:
This is a frontline role offering essential support to families within the prison system. As a Children and Young People’s Practitioner, you will provide guidance and practical assistance to children, young people, and their families. You will also support family-centred services, including casework, family-focused interventions, and ensuring family visits are positive and meaningful experiences for everyone involved.
Key Responsibilities:
• Offer advice and support to prisoners and their families to foster stronger, healthier relationships.
• Lead engaging activities for children, including play sessions, homework clubs, and Storytime, promoting development and family bonding.
• Manage a caseload, assess family needs, and guide families through the support process.
• Work collaboratively with your team to maintain a welcoming and safe environment for families.
• Ensure that family visits are positive, especially for children of all ages, making it a supportive and enriching experience.
