What You Will Do:
* Deliver High-Quality Casework: Provide specialist services to vulnerable children and their families, ensuring best practices in line with child protection and welfare guidelines.
* Safeguard Children: Identify and address safeguarding concerns, ensuring children’s safety and enhancing outcomes in health, education, and emotional well-being.
* Assessment & Intervention: Conduct assessments, care planning, and targeted interventions for children in need, child protection cases, and care leavers.
* Direct Support: Offer advice, counselling, and personal assistance to empower and protect service users while promoting their independence.
* Restorative Practice: Use restorative frameworks to foster a collaborative culture and positive outcomes for children and families.
* Multi-Agency Collaboration: Partner with professionals, families, and community stakeholders to deliver coordinated care and sustainable solutions.
Requirements:
* Degree in Social Work (or equivalent qualification).
* Registered with Social Work England.
* Experience in child protection, care proceedings, and family support.
* Strong understanding of legislation and best practices related to Children’s Services.
* Ability to manage a complex caseload and provide timely interventions.
* Excellent communication and analytical skills to engage with diverse service users and professionals.
* Experience with court work and preparing detailed legal reports.
* Knowledge of restorative practice frameworks and multi-agency working.
* Child-Centred Approach: Committed to improving outcomes for children and their families.
* Organisational Skills: Capable of prioritising tasks and managing multiple complex cases.
