Insolvency Administrator Location: Swindon/Bath/Taunton Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Insolvency Administrator to join our dynamic and growing team. You will manage a portfolio of corporate insolvency cases, ensuring compliance with UK insolvency law and internal procedures. This role requires hands-on experience in corporate insolvency processes, familiarity with IPS Cloud or willingness to learn, and strong organisational skills to efficiently manage cases from initiation to closure. Key Responsibilities: Case Administration and Compliance: Manage a caseload of corporate insolvency cases, including Company Voluntary Liquidations (CVL), Members Voluntary Liquidations (MVL), and Company Voluntary Arrangements (CVA). Set up and close cases on the IPS Cloud case management system. Conduct statutory reporting, liaise with regulatory bodies, and ensure compliance with statutory and legal requirements. Complete pre-appointment tasks, including preparation of statutory forms and checklists, and liaising with necessary contacts to gather required information. Maintain our electronic filing system for statutory records and case papers, ensuring all records are kept up-to-date. Stakeholder Communication: Act as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, including directors, creditors, debtors, employees, and third-party agents. Handle queries and provide regular updates on case progress to stakeholders and team members. Build and maintain relationships with creditors and other interested parties to support positive outcomes for all stakeholders. Asset Realisation and Investigation: Identify, recover, and realise company assets in line with case requirements. Conduct investigations into company financial affairs, analyse transactions, and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders. Collaborate with solicitors, valuers, and other professionals to maximise asset recovery. Financial Management: Prepare receipts and payments accounts, manage case budgets, and monitor costs. Assist in preparing documentation for claims and distributions to creditors. Reconcile case funds and maintain accurate financial records. Process Improvement and Compliance: Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives within the insolvency team, focusing on efficiency and compliance with best practices. Ensure all casework aligns with regulatory guidelines and company policies. Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and participate in IPS Cloud training as needed. General Administration: Support case progression for other team members as required, with the goal of managing an independent portfolio of cases. Complete closure procedures, including reviews, final reporting, and other statutory tasks. Key Skills and Experience: Experience: At least 2 years of experience in corporate insolvency administration. Experience in accountancy is also beneficial. Technical Skills: Proficient in IPS Cloud or a willingness to learn and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK corporate insolvency processes and regulations. Organisational Skills: Ability to plan and prioritise daily tasks, meet multiple deadlines, and manage a varied caseload. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, with an adaptable approach for engaging with clients, creditors, and various stakeholders.
