Overview of the role

We are seeking a highly capable and proactive Executive Assistant (EA) to support the Board. This role is designed to alleviate the Board’s day-to-day administrative and operational workload, enabling a greater focus on strategic priorities. The EA will go beyond traditional administrative duties, actively engaging in projects, reporting, and business initiatives while also acting as a trusted and confidential sounding board for Board members.
What will you be doing?
Strategic & Project Support
* Manage key projects, meeting actions, and follow-ups, ensuring progress and accountability.
* Engage fully with subject matter to provide informed responses and support decision-making.
* Support the execution of new business initiatives, including high-profile events such as the £1m Club Dinner and the Winter Warmer.
* Assist in managing M&A activities and key hiring processes.
Meeting & Reporting Management
* Coordinate Board and ExCo meetings, ensuring thorough preparation and follow-ups.
* Handle highly sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
* Act as a trusted and confidential sounding board for Board members, offering insight, support, and a confidential space for discussion.
* Draft and prepare reports, ensuring timely responses to performance targets and team initiatives.
Communication & Business Liaison
* Act as a key point of contact between the Board, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
* Liaise with teams across the business to facilitate collaboration and information flow.
Operational & Administrative Support
* Oversee scheduling, travel arrangements, and other executive-level administrative tasks.
* Ensure the Board’s time is optimally managed by filtering and prioritising requests.

Knowledge
* Strong understanding of executive-level business operations and governance.

* Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and professional correspondence.
* High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
* Ability to think strategically and anticipate needs before they arise.
* Strong interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and influence at a senior level.
* Proactive problem-solving ability, with a resourceful and solutions-focused mindset.
* Discretion and integrity, with the ability to act as a trusted and confidential sounding board for Board members.
Experience
* Proven experience as an Executive Assistant, Business Manager, or Project Coordinator in a fast-paced, senior-level environment.
* Exposure to Board-level meetings, including preparation, minute-taking, and follow-up actions.
* Previous experience liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders at a senior level.
* Experience handling complex and sensitive business information with absolute discretion.
* Prior involvement in supporting high-profile business events and initiatives is desirable.

Following a screen with the Recruitment Team you can expect a two-stage interview process which also includes a practical task.

*Important* BPSS Check
As part of our recruitment process due to the nature of the work we do, all employees are required to undertake a Baseline Personal Security Standard (BPSS) check.
