Principal Clinical/Forensic/Counselling Psychologist Salary: £55,000 Hours: 37.5 per week Contract Type: Fixed Term (9-12 months, Maternity Cover) iGo Recruitment is seeking a Principal Clinical, Forensic, or Counselling Psychologist to join a well-established multidisciplinary team (MDT) providing integrated care and treatment for adults with complex mental health needs. About the Role The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality psychological care, contributing to service development, and supporting the wider MDT through consultation, staff training, and reflective practice. Key Responsibilities: Conduct individual therapy sessions with clients experiencing a range of emotional and psychological difficulties. Perform comprehensive psychological assessments and develop formulations. Work collaboratively within the MDT to ensure integrated, holistic care. Administer and interpret psychometric tests to support diagnosis and treatment planning. Facilitate evidence-based group therapy sessions. Develop and implement tailored treatment plans for individual clients. Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in line with professional standards. Contribute to MDT care planning and review processes. Play a key role in service development and staff training initiatives. Support audit, research, and continuing professional development (CPD) activities. Qualifications & Experience: Qualified Psychologist, registered with the HCPC. Extensive experience in providing one-to-one therapy for individuals with diverse mental health needs. Skilled in psychological assessment, formulation, and psychometric testing. Experience facilitating therapeutic group interventions.
