MAC Recruit Group is delighted to be partnered exclusively with a leading business in South Ayrshire as they are looking to welcome an experienced Financial Controller to their finance function on a full time and permanent basis.
As the Financial Controller, you will lead a team of Financial Administrators including AP & AR, fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace environment while promoting professional development, collaboration and engagement. Reporting to the Group Head of Finance, you will work closely with them in order to deploy initiatives and manage people processes.
Key responsibilities:
* Take overall responsibility for the delivery and performance of all allocated workstreams and transactional processes
* Be fully accountable for ensuring your team deliver agreed service levels and are compliant with established process
* Review, plan and implement a change programme that improves the efficiency and effectiveness of people and processes
* Management of cashflow and reporting working capital requirements.
* Manage, lead and develop a team of AP & AR administrators to deliver accurate and timely invoice management and credit control
* Proactively managing the relationship with customers and suppliers
* Support with internal and external audit processes, ensure compliance and regulatory timelines
* Providing data for management accounts, forecasts, budgets and other ad-hoc reports within deadlines, or a timely manner
* Ensure appropriate and relevant governance structures, policies and processes are followed and engender a culture of continuous improvement
* Support the Group Head of Finance with ad-hoc projects and initiatives
Experience and Qualifications:
* Qualified or qualified by experience (QBE)
* Demonstrated experience of successfully developing, managing and leading a shared services team
* Effective communication skills, ability to liaise with all levels of internal stakeholders, both verbal and written
* Excellent customer service experience – sets high standards and seeks feedback for the purpose of making improvements
* Highly numerate and analytical with a problem-solving aptitude
