Amazon Middle East and North Africa team is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer who is passionate about quality and delivering high-quality products to our Customers & Sellers. The QAE-I must have quality assurance experience involving writing and maintaining test strategy, plans, test cases, and executing the same, creating automation scripts, and solving complex problems.
Key Job Responsibilities
1. Own writing and maintaining test strategy, plans, test cases, and execute the same to raise the quality bar for Amazon Retail products.
2. Defining test plans and test strategies for medium to size projects.
3. Perform initial defect triage and root cause analysis, correctly log defects, and provide relevant data to partner teams so they can address issues.
4. Analyze test change requests and provide recommendations on how the change might impact test scope and/or product behavior.
5. Work with Product Managers, TPMs, QAEs, SDETs, and SDEs to understand features and technical implementation.
6. Stay connected and follow up on support cases that have been escalated and with internal engineering teams who have outstanding actions.
7. Communicate frequently both verbally and in writing with your team and with other groups.
8. Provide detailed status reports for stakeholders.
9. Basic knowledge in a scripting language to debug, troubleshoot, create, and maintain test automation scripts.
10. Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to think clearly and analytically, problem solve, scope business requirements, and prioritize work on projects.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. 1+ years of quality assurance engineering experience.
2. Experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer.
3. Experience in manual testing.
4. Experience in automating using Selenium, TestNG.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience designing and planning test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control.
2. Experience in API & Mobile testing.
