As this company finalizes a new platform, they need to expand its capabilities with a fibre-optic version using optical sensors and transmitters. This has created a new opportunity for an experienced Senior Electronics Engineer who understands how optical signals are received and processed.
It’s an ideal role for a hardware engineer who is keen to take ownership of completely new designs and work with autonomy, rather than simply modifying or making changes to existing designs.
As a Senior Electronics Design Engineer, you will:
1. Take ownership of existing products and drive the development of new fibre-optic-based solutions.
2. Lead the design process, from conceptualization to prototyping and production.
3. Work on embedded hardware design, including schematics, microcontrollers, and interfacing.
4. Collaborate with a talented team, including FPGA and HW/SW engineers.
5. Integrate optical signals, battery systems, RF circuits, and displays.
Senior Electronics Design Engineer requirements:
1. Extensive experience in embedded hardware design.
2. An understanding of how optical signals are processed and received.
3. A proactive attitude, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
Desirable skills:
1. Battery-powered devices, embedded software, FPGA, RF circuits, and high-speed data capture.
