We’re Hiring: Accounts Assistant (Maternity Cover - Potential to Go Permanent) Location: Hedge End, Hampshire (Office-based) Salary: Up to £30,000 Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30am - 5:00pm About the Role A well-established business is seeking an Accounts Assistant to support their finance team. Initially, this will be a maternity cover, but there is strong potential for it to become a permanent role due to other internal changes expected this summer. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking for a varied and hands-on role in a collaborative and supportive team environment. Key Responsibilities: Assisting with the purchase ledger Processing weekly store takings and handling queries Reconciling financial transactions Producing weekly financial reports Investigating invoice and payment queries Posting and reconciling bank transactions daily Completing BACS payment runs Assisting with payroll Liaising with colleagues and customers The Ideal Candidate Will Have: AAT qualifications (Level 3 or 4) Solid experience in an accounts or finance role A keen eye for detail and a proactive attitude Excellent communication skills Confidence working both independently and within a team We’re aiming to have someone in place by June to ensure a smooth handover and training period.
