A unique opportunity awaits for a motivated Physiotherapist to join the adult neuro developmental team, based at Ash Green, Chesterfield and covering the North Derbyshire geographical area.
The service within DCHS is staffed by a dedicated team and we are looking for a like-minded Physiotherapist to join us in delivering physiotherapy to adults with a learning disability.
Our Multidisciplinary Team comprises community nurses, psychologists, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and psychiatrists.
We work collaboratively to meet the health needs of people with a learning disability living in North Derbyshire.
If you have excellent communication skills and are able to plan and deliver high quality, person-centred, evidence-based clinical care, we would very much like to hear from you.
We would accept candidates requiring working hours between 22.5 hours- 30 hours.

Main Duties of the Job:
As a Specialist Physiotherapist, the perfect match for our team will be required to:
1. Provide specialist assessment, treatment, advice, and education for clients with a learning disability.
2. Provide assessment and recommendations on 24-hour postural management for individuals with complex physical disabilities.
3. Work closely with a variety of service providers and agencies throughout Derbyshire to provide a holistic approach to the treatment of adults with a learning disability.
4. Educate, train, and provide specialist advice to health and social care colleagues, support staff, students, carers, and any other personnel/agencies that come into contact with people who have a learning disability.
5. Participate in the development of effective, responsive, evidence-based person-centred services.
6. Contribute to the overall planning, delivery, and evaluation of Physiotherapy services.

Person Specification:
Education, Qualifications and Training:
* Diploma or degree in Physiotherapy, state registered with HCPC
* Actively engaged with CPD
Experience and Knowledge:
* Confident and clear about the role of Physiotherapy in learning disabilities
* Proven communication skills
* Able to prioritise and manage own workload
* Able to work independently
* Appropriate specialist skills in physiotherapy assessment and treatment
* Experience working as a physiotherapist with transferable skills
* Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
