About The Role Implementation Project Manager Working hours Full time 37 hours per week (flexible working arrangements will be considered) Fixed term contract until December 2025 Salary up to £71,173 depending on experience Location hybrid working with office location at Pity Me, Durham and project sites across the regions About The Role We have an exciting opportunity to join our in-house delivery arm Integrated Delivery Services (IDS) team as an Implementation Project Manager, working with your colleagues to deliver tangible business improvements, that will help us deliver for our customers, communities and the environment. NWG (Northumbrian Water Group) is preparing for AMP (Asset Management Plan)8 (2025-2030), our largest ever 5-year investment programme. We will be investing circa £3Bn in capital projects, and need to prepare our capacity, capability, process, systems, data & people to do so. The Implementation Project Manager will own and lead projects through concept, definition, delivery, and handover. You’ll need to consider planning optimisation and ongoing management and maintenance of the project plans throughout the lifecycle. You will have an implementation focus, to deliver real improvements, whilst working collaboratively across the organisation. You will support leadership of the Workstream, inputting to the overall workstream vision, objectives, and programme of work, recommending changes to the strategy & plan, and assisting in ensuring overall direction is right. Establishing and sustaining strong stakeholder relationships will be essential. About You If you are great at managing multiple demands and prioritising effectively in a reactive environment, we want to hear from you. You will have experience of leading and delivering business improvements across People/Process/System/Data, ideally in an Engineering & Construction setting which a robust approach to delivery. You will have experience forward planning, scheduling work and working to deadlines, and have excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with others inside and outside of your team, building excellent relationships. You will have strong planning and organisational skills, working proactively to meet the teams needs. It would also be useful if you have lean methodologies, change management and project management/planning skills, but this isn’t essential. We’re open to candidates from other backgrounds that can bring new ways of working and thinking to our business. We’re interested in candidates with transferrable knowledge and skillsets from other sectors, with a willingness and capability to learn. This is a Safety or Security Critical Role and as a condition of a formal offer of employment you’ll be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test, prior to or within four weeks of their start date.
