Position: Senior Civil Engineer

Overview
My client requires an experienced individual of high calibre to support on the delivery of projects to join a friendly team based in Leeds. This role is ideally suited for those with experience in producing designs, managing the work of others within the team, and enjoying multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
They work across a diverse range of clients delivering challenging infrastructure projects for both the private and public sector within the Education, Housing, Commercial, and Industrial sectors.

Role & Experience Requirements
1. Road and Sewer design to adoptable standards (Typically but not limited to Section 38 / 278 & 104 / 185 Agreements of the relevant Highway and Water Acts)
2. Flood alleviation schemes
3. Flood risk assessments
4. Earthwork, levels & Cut Fill schemes
5. SUDS / swales / soakaway design / infiltration basins
6. Competence with Civil 3D / Micro drainage / InfoDrainage
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate some or all of the following:
1. Be an enthusiastic professional who likes a challenge

3. Experience in the delivery and leading flood risk and/or surface water separation projects from concept through to construction
4. Experience in writing reports and presenting to internal and external partners
5. Experienced in holding meetings with clients and leading design discussions
6. Experienced in working across multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects efficiently and effectively, such as with hydraulic modellers, engineers, and environmental consultants
7. Experience or an interest in developing Natural Flood Management solutions
8. Understanding and experience in working with the NPPF
9. Experience in IT systems such as ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and the Microsoft Office suite
10. Education to degree level or equivalent in a relevant field and Chartered with the ICE or CIWEM, or working towards achieving chartership
11. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently, a collaborative approach, and a proven ability to deliver work on time
12. Commitment to encouraging good health and safety practices within the workplace and within design
13. Team player displaying enthusiasm, flexibility, and versatility
14. Ability to mentor, encourage, and support junior team members
15. Desire to build upon existing experience and continue professional development
16. Hold a full UK Driving License
