Engaging and Supportive Maths Tutors Required in the Southport Area
At TP Tutors (Part of Teaching Personnel), we believe in every child's right to quality education. We are seeking engaging and supportive Maths Tutors to match with students in the Southport area.
Many students referred to us have SEN (Special Education Needs)/SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) requirements. We need patient and understanding educators ready to empower and inspire learners to achieve their goals.
The Role:
* Delivering 1:1 tuition sessions both in person and via our virtual portal.
* Planning suitable sessions to support students towards their goals.
* Assessing and tracking student progress.
* Communicating openly with guardians and case workers to ensure our young people receive the best support.
Our Ideal Tutor:
* Experience working with children or young people.
* Ability to plan and deliver engaging core and cross-curricular sessions.
* Proactive and driven to help pupils catch up academically.
* Knowledge of behaviour management strategies.
* Organized and thorough, ensuring pupils stay on track to meet their learning outcomes.
* A dedicated consultant available to discuss current or future roles.
* Payment is handled in-house, with no fees from umbrella companies.
* Competitive pay rate.
* 13 weeks off per year.
* Opportunities for further development through CPD.
Hours are mainly during term time, between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm, with flexibility to accommodate current commitments.
This role is particularly suitable for those with backgrounds in education or social care.
Applicants must undergo background checks and hold a current DBS certificate (or be registered with the update service). Teaching Personnel can assist with your application if needed.

Pay rates are inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with potential for permanency later.
