Responsibilities:
* Regional Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports, including regional profit and loss to Operating Profit, balance sheet extracts and variance analyses.
* Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of departmental annual budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring performance against these benchmarks.
* Cost Analysis: Analyse costs and expenditures to ensure efficient resource utilization and identify opportunities for cost savings. Work with operations to identify Gross Margin and Operating Profit improvement initiatives including Fleet Management.
* Financial Planning: Develop financial models to support strategic decision-making and business planning.
* Working Capital/Cash Flow Management: Monitor and forecast Business Unit cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations and investments.
* Variance Analysis: Conduct in-depth analyses to explain deviations between actual and budgeted performance, identifying key financial drivers.
* Performance Metrics: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess business performance and recommend improvements.
* Collaboration: Work closely with various business units/departments, providing financial insights to support operational decisions. Help operations improve processes and procedures in readiness for the planned growth.
* Ensure responsibilities specific to your role as detailed within BKH L006 Health Safety and Environment Policy are complied with.
Requirements for Role:
* Educational Background: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Professional Certification: Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
* Experience: Proven experience in management accounting or a similar role.
* Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
* Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical abilities with attention to detail.
