Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Contract Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of a Sewage Treatment Works (STW) project on a fixed-term contract basis. As a Contract Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for managing the on-site activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and driving the project to meet its goals on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities:
1. Site and Project Management: Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the STW project site, ensuring compliance with project plans and contract specifications.
2. Health & Safety Leadership: Maintain a safe working environment by strictly enforcing health and safety policies, conducting regular site safety inspections, and ensuring all team members are compliant with relevant regulations.
3. Temporary Works Coordination: Plan, manage, and oversee all temporary works as part of your role as the Temporary Works Coordinator, ensuring adherence to legal and safety standards.
4. Team Supervision: Oversee and motivate on-site teams, including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors, to ensure all work is delivered to high standards of quality and efficiency.
5. Client and Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for the client, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and reporting throughout the contract duration.
6. Quality Control: Monitor the quality of all construction work, ensuring strict adherence to design specifications, building codes, and environmental regulations.
7. Cost and Budget Control: Monitor project budgets and work closely with the commercial team to ensure that the project is delivered within financial targets. Identify cost-saving opportunities as they arise.
8. Progress Monitoring: Track project progress against agreed timelines and budgets, reporting any issues or risks to senior management. Implement solutions to mitigate delays or cost overruns.
Key Requirements:
1. Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Site Manager role, ideally within sewage treatment works (STW) or water infrastructure projects. Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget in a contract capacity.
2. Essential Qualifications:
o CSCS Gold Card
o Temporary Works Coordinator Certificate
o First Aider
o SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
3. Skills and Competencies:
o Strong leadership and team management abilities.
o Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
o Solid problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, especially in fast-paced project environments.
o Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
o Ability to manage resources, budgets, and schedules effectively, delivering to contractual obligations.
4. Personal Attributes:

o Previous experience working within AMP (Asset Management Plan) frameworks.
