Who You Are We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual with a strong understanding of IT packages, particularly Microsoft Office. Ideally, you have prior experience in an office setting, such as a Court Service or legal office. While proficiency in the Welsh language is desirable, all employees will receive basic Welsh Language induction. The ideal candidate should exhibit strong non-technical skills, including effective teamwork, initiative, and a commitment to delivering excellent service. You should be adaptable, capable of managing general administrative duties, and committed to supporting the Council's objectives, particularly in relation to safety and climate change initiatives. What the Job Involves Your primary role is to support the Coroner’s Service Manager and the administrative team in providing an efficient service. Key responsibilities include facilitating the smooth operation of Inquests by offering Court Usher assistance, chaperoning visitors, managing court recording systems, and assisting with witness swearing and Inquest Openings. You will also create and distribute TEAMS links for remote attendance and perform general administrative tasks such as archiving files and scanning documents. Additionally, you are expected to comply with Health and Safety Policies, support the Council’s climate objectives, and report any safeguarding concerns.
