Job Summary:
To support clinically qualified practitioners in providing high-quality and effective pre-hospital clinical care to the community, responding to medical emergencies, interhospital transfers, urgent hospital admissions, and other operational duties. This role requires adherence to Medi4 policies, procedures, protocols, and relevant legislation.
Duties, Accountabilities, and Responsibilities:
1. Respond immediately to emergency & urgent calls and hospital transfers, working alongside clinicians.
2. Ensure compliance with JRCALC guidelines and Medi4 protocols, being accountable for clinical decisions.
3. Support qualified practitioners in diagnostic procedures and treatments within the scope of practice.
4. Obtain informed consent before treatment and maintain clear communication with patients and colleagues.
5. Provide continuous care to patients until they are discharged or transferred.
6. Deliver clear handover reports to healthcare professionals.
7. Ensure safe patient transfer using appropriate protocols.
8. Communicate with patients, relatives, and colleagues in a professional manner.
9. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with information governance regulations.
10. Conduct dynamic risk assessments at incident scenes.
11. Practice in accordance with medication protocols and security guidelines.
12. Maintain timely communication with Operations & Clinical teams.
13. Collaborate with other emergency services and healthcare professionals.
Special Conditions:
The post holder must be prepared to travel to other company sites as required.
Work Complexity:
The job requires flexibility and personal organization to prioritize multiple issues.
Contacts:
The post holder will liaise with staff, managers, suppliers, and the public.
Creative Work:
The post holder may participate in meetings to achieve key performance indicators.
