Junior Project Manager – Commercial Buildings
Location: Didcot HQ – Oxfordshire / Berkshire / Hampshire Sites
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
Hours: 40/week – hybrid working between home/office/sites
About the Role
We are seeking a Project Manager to support and deliver pre-construction and construction services across a diverse range of projects, from small redevelopments to large infrastructure schemes. This role involves managing building estate upgrades, including refurbishments, demolitions, and new constructions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage project elements with a high level of independence.
2. Assist with programme and design management, tender preparation, and stakeholder engagement.
3. Work with ECC NEC3/4, JCT Construction Management, or similar contracts.
4. Collaborate with designers and offer technical insights.
5. Security clearance checks may be required due to the nature of certain projects.
Key Skills and Experience:
1. Up to 3 years of experience in the sector, with solid knowledge of building construction (Commercial or utilities sectors experience).
2. Understanding of design management, RIBA design stages, and Building Regulations.
3. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
4. CSCS Card and UK driving license required.
5. Willingness to travel for site visits across Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Hampshire, and Wiltshire.
Qualifications:
1. Degree in a relevant field.
2. Working towards membership with RICS, IET, ICE, or similar institutions.
3. PRINCE2 Practitioner or other relevant project management qualifications.
