We are currently looking to recruit a Field Sales Specialist to join our award-winning business. This role is remote based within the Manchester/ Liverpool area.
The Field Sales Specialist is responsible for maximizing sales of Neogen's Food Safety product portfolio within the designated territory. This individual will leverage their sales acumen and available resources to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth. This is a field sales role ideally based in territory, requiring a proactive and results-oriented individual. The territory will be: Liverpool, Manchester, Hull, Nottingham & surrounding areas.
What you’ll be doing:
* Achieve and exceed sales targets for Neogen's Food Safety product line within the assigned territory.
* Develop and implement a strategic business plan for the territory, aligned with overall business objectives.
* Proactively manage and grow existing direct accounts, identifying and capitalizing on opportunities for cross-selling and business expansion.
* Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries, utilizing all available resources to provide effective solutions.
* Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Neogen's Food Safety products and services, relevant industry standards, and national requirements.
* Conduct compelling product demonstrations of test kits and other relevant offerings to potential customers.
* Serve as the initial point of contact for customer technical inquiries, complaints, and product application support, escalating complex issues as necessary.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information and sales activities within the CRM system.
* Contribute to the financial management of the territory, including assisting with budget development, sales forecasting, and report preparation as required.
About you:
* Proven track record in technical sales or sales within the food industry is highly desirable.
* A degree in Life Sciences, Food Science, or another relevant technical discipline is preferred.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
* Demonstrated self-motivation, strong drive, and exceptional organizational skills.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative member of a team.
