Contract Manager (Grounds)
Our client is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to oversee Grounds activities for one of our largest Social Housing clients in the London and Home Counties area.
You will be a natural business leader, capable of leading a delivery team to implement the company's strategy, maximize profit, and focus on contract retention.
You will be responsible for motivating, managing, and training staff to meet and exceed client expectations, as well as building effective working relationships within the wider business.
Main Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain effective client relationships to ensure service standards meet contract specifications and maximize contract retention opportunities.
* Develop and maintain an effective operational team, ensuring compliance with all operational KPIs, reviewing activity on all contracts regularly, and driving innovation and best practices.
* Manage the purchase and maintenance of approved equipment and machinery, ensuring all electrical and mechanical testing is current.
* Handle client communications and ensure preventative and remedial actions are taken as needed.
* Achieve full contract Profit & Loss (P&L) targets, operate within budgets, and develop processes to maximize growth opportunities.
* Attend regular client review meetings to present and discuss contract performance.
* Participate in recruiting and onboarding new team members, collaborating with Senior Management, HR, Recruitment, Fleet, and Procurement departments.
* Support the bid team in responding to RFI’s/RFP’s and attend client presentations when required.
* Assist the Operations Director with reports, costs, proposals, and support for new client mobilizations.
* Ensure adherence to JAES, QSHE, Risk, and Business Continuity protocols at all times.
What are we looking for?
* At least 5 years of experience in a client delivery role in Grounds or Garden Maintenance.
* A proven track record of achieving customer satisfaction, managing people, controlling budgets, and ensuring health and safety and compliance.
* Understanding of management techniques, change management, and performance reviews.
* Team player, collaborative, natural leader, and loyal.
* Strong commercial acumen, motivational skills, diplomatic yet firm.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organized, motivated, and able to work under pressure.
