As the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a busy workshop, ensuring that all fabrication projects are completed efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards. Leading a team of up to 20 employees, you will play a crucial role in fostering a collaborative, productive work environment while upholding the company’s commitment to excellence in fabrication.
Key Responsibilities for the Workshop Manager Role:
* Oversee Workshop Operations: Manage daily activities in the workshop to ensure all fabrication projects are executed on schedule and meet rigorous quality standards.
* Team Leadership: Provide guidance, mentorship, and supervision to a team of up to 20 employees, promoting a culture of teamwork, productivity, and continuous improvement.
* Technical Expertise in TIG and MIG Welding: Utilize your advanced welding skills to support and guide team members, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications in both TIG and MIG welding processes.
* Quality and Efficiency Management: Establish and maintain high standards for quality, ensuring efficient workflows and optimal resource utilisation.
Key Qualifications & Skills Required:
* Fabrication Experience: Proven experience in a fabrication environment, ideally within a similar workshop management role.
* Advanced Welding Skills: Proficient in both TIG and MIG welding, with a strong understanding of fabrication processes and techniques.
* Team Management: Previous experience managing a team, particularly within a workshop or fabrication setting.
* Leadership & Communication: Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
