Arden White Aerospace and Aviation Recruitment has been exclusively retained to identify and secure a highly qualified individual for the position of Head of Air Traffic Services at London Oxford Airport.
This critical role is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of Air Traffic Services, ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities of the Head of Air Traffic Services.
* Policy Development: Develop and maintain comprehensive policies and procedures to manage Air Traffic operations effectively, including the reporting and monitoring of Significant Safety Critical Events (SCEs), Quality Management Systems (QMS), Just Culture, and Best Practices.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements.
* Safety Management System (SMS): Implement and sustain the SMS within Air Traffic Control (ATC), conducting Gap Analysis to develop SMS strategies.
* Staff Training and Accountability: Ensure ATC staff are adequately trained, qualified, and competent. Hold staff accountable for their safety performance.
* Staffing Management: Maintain compliant staffing levels during airport operating hours, adhering to regulatory working time restrictions.
* Liaison with CAA: Act as the primary liaison with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on matters related to Air Traffic Services.
* ATC Engineering and Maintenance: Serve as the main point of contact for all aspects of ATC engineering and maintenance.
* Resource and Financial Management: Establish necessary resources and financial controls to operate a compliant Air Traffic function.
* Safety Reporting: Report Air Traffic Services safety issues to the Operations Director promptly.
* Accountable Manager: Serve as the accountable manager for providing services in accordance with the Unit Training Plan (UTP), Unit Competency Scheme (UCS), and Meteorological documents.
* Contracted Providers: Approve the ATE contracted providers' Engineering Manager and ensure contracted personnel receive suitable training according to the provider's training and competency scheme.
* Project Notification: Notify the ATE Engineering Manager of proposed projects or developments impacting Air Traffic Services equipment at the earliest opportunity.
