Senior Project Manager (Electrical)
Based in East London (E14)
Salary: Up to £100k + Package
A leading construction management organization is looking to recruit a Senior Project Manager to play a key role in the construction of a state-of-the-art science laboratory, boasting a budget exceeding £100 million. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be the driving force behind the procurement, implementation, and close-out of the Electrical packages.
As Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the design deliverables are prepared in a timely and comprehensive manner to support the tender programme. Responsibilities include:
1. Pre-qualifying potential tenderers in accordance with internal procedures and compiling a final tender list.
2. Compiling the tender documents and issuing them to the tenderers.
3. Managing the tender process, including issuing necessary updates of the tender documents, responding to tender queries, and conducting mid-tender meetings.
4. Maintaining a complete written record of all communications throughout the tender period.
5. Evaluating tender returns on technical, commercial, and programme baselines.
Required skills:
* A relevant degree (or an equivalent level of qualification), for example in Building Services, is desirable.
* Experience in managing M/E packages for a minimum of 300,000 sqft commercial development is essential.
* First-hand experience with fast-track design and construction programmes is essential.
* Proven quality construction experience gained from a combination of contracting, construction management, and/or the commercial development sector is essential.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
