They are seeking a talented Procurement Manager to join their expanding company. You will report directly to their Senior Leadership Team, and you will liaise internally with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors and Build Managers. Their development team operate in two markets, National Property Development & Civils. They purchase old commercial properties and refurbish them into residential properties through Permitted Development. Their Civils teams provide civil engineering solutions for the Construction & Telecoms industries. They are successful, financially stable and growing consistently. Due to growth, you will be their first Procurement Manager and you will be responsible for taking full control of all procurement across the business with a vision of expanding the procurement team. As the Procurement Manager, your duties will include… Review and process purchase orders, ensuring accurate coding of orders to projects. Maintain records of goods/services ordered and received/completed. Negotiate prices and contracts with suppliers. Build and maintain relationships with vendors. Select prospective vendors and negotiate contracts. Evaluate vendors based on quality, timeliness, and price. Schedule deliveries and ensure timely fulfilment of orders. Process orders, reviewing pricing and terms. Book hotel accommodation for engineers etc, reviewing pricing and terms. Monitor inventory and determine supply needs. Ensure quality of procured items and address problems when they arise. Travel to vendor locations. Work closely with Finance to ensure accuracy of inventory and coding of orders. To be considered for this opportunity you will need… 2-3 years’ experience in purchasing. Relevant Bachelor’s degree. Excellent organisation and communication skills. Negotiation skills. Research and analytical skills. Interpersonal skills. Attention to detail. Experience working in property, new builds or construction will be highly beneficial, but this is not essential. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 8.30 am until 5.30 pm. This is a full-time, office-based, permanent position and unfortunately they cannot offer hybrid, part-time or remote working.
