About the Role
Our client, a leading civil engineering contractor, is seeking a Site Engineer to join their growing team in Inverness. This role offers the opportunity to work on various projects while ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
As a Site Engineer, you will be crucial in managing site operations, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, cost-effectively, and to client specifications. You will be responsible for setting out works, liaising with clients and subcontractors, and ensuring high standards are maintained throughout each project.
Key Responsibilities:
* Setting up and maintaining site control.
* Setting out roads, sewers, and structures.
* Ensuring compliance with project specifications and work standards.
* Reviewing project designs and specifications.
* Attending in-house progress meetings and liaising with key stakeholders.
* Acting as a direct point of contact between the client and the company.
* Assessing and implementing design changes from the client.
* Facilitating the agreement of variations.
* Organising labour, plant, and materials across multiple projects.
* Conducting land, stockpile, and construction work surveys.
* Supervising on-site works and ensuring projects meet agreed specifications.
* Checking and preparing site reports, designs, and drawings.
* Providing technical advice and problem-solving on-site.
Minimum Requirements:
* CSCS Card
* Relevant site experience
* Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable Skills & Qualifications:
* HNC/HND in Civil Engineering
* SSSTS Certification
* First Aid (Appointed Person)
