Croydon Healthy Homes supports our residents to heat their homes and reduce their energy bills. We offer advice and practical support to reduce fuel poverty across the borough and to improve the health and wellbeing of residents in their homes. Our advisors support vulnerable residents make positive changes to the way they use energy, get the best tariffs and secure any support they are entitled to from their energy suppliers.We provide an integrated and inclusive service which aims to make sure that no community is left behind, which includes group workshops and one to one support.
We are looking for an experienced energy advisors to join our new in-house team to supporting residents in their homes, at outreach events and by telephone and email.To ensure the best outcome for each resident, this will often involve ongoing, follow-up support.You will have a good knowledge of domestic energy efficiency, energy billing issues, tariffs and related support available.You will also need to have experience of assessing the needs of vulnerable residents, tailoring the support provided accordingly.You will need to be flexible, able to work independently and to use your initiative to find practical solutions to problems. You must have excellent data recording skills

Funding is in place to deliver the Healthy Homes service until May 2026. The role is offered as a fixed term appointment to 31st May 2026. The role will be extended if further funding is secured.
Starting salary:£35,777 (2024/25 pay award pending) + compulsory car user allowance
