PRACTICE MANAGER, PIPELAND MEDICAL PRACTICE Salary/Banding: We are committed to linking remuneration with level of experience and are happy to negotiate with the right candidate. (Guide income in the range of £50,000 to £65,000. A starting salary at £65K would be for an exceptional candidate with a proven track record and outstanding capabilities) Hours: 30 – 37 hours per week to be worked over 4-5 days, Monday to Friday (to be negotiated with the successful candidate) Pension: You will be entitled to be enrolled into the NHS Superannuation Scheme (Scotland) which has an employer contribution rate of 22.5% Leave Entitlement: 27 days plus 10 days public holiday (pro rata for part-time staff) with additional leave granted for your birthday and in recognition of long service We are a large Practice in the historic university town of St Andrews, serving over 15,000 patients, of which approximately 6,000 are students of the University of St Andrews. We work from a modern community hospital, where we have responsibility for inpatients including a small number of palliative care beds, as well as providing medical cover for the Minor Injuries Unit. We also work closely with the wider community hospital services and our local Nursing and Care Homes, as well as the Student Support Team at St Andrews University. We are an innovative, friendly and progressive training Practice. The Partnership consists of nine partners who are supported by an excellent and well-qualified clinical team including a salaried GP, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistants. We also have a large, experienced administration team to support our clinical activities. We believe our Practice to be an excellent place to work and our low staff turnover is testament to this. We are looking for an experienced leader to join our Senior Management Team, to help us shape the future of Primary Care within St Andrews and deliver improved outcomes for our patients, whilst ensuring a sustainable business model is embedded and developed. Candidates with knowledge of the NHS and managerial experience in a healthcare setting would be preferable but not essential. About the Role The purpose of the role is to provide leadership, management and motivation to the Practice team to enable the Practice to meet its agreed aims and objectives within a safe, efficient, profitable and positive working environment. The successful candidate must have good project and time management skills, be self-motivated and confident, hard working, reliable, resourceful, adaptable and innovative, be able to turn ideas into services and to gain respect by example and leadership as well as being resilient and personable.
