Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Goodwood – Digital Innovation - 13 Month Placement (July 2025)
We are seeking a forward-thinking student that has a passion for technological innovation to join our Assembly Quality Management department. You will play a fundamental part of our journey towards digitalisation and Industry 4.0, as we employ new digital and technological solutions to support the team that build the best car in the world.
As an intern you will quickly learn the complexities of our production line and will play a pivotal role in maintaining existing, and developing new computing solutions that help us on our mission to ‘take the best that exists and make it better’. 1. Seeking digital solutions that support with the continuous improvement of the quality of our products.
2. Gaining a deep understanding of the computer systems currently in use within assembly.
3. Spearheading digital innovations that will propel us towards Industry 4.0, constantly seeking opportunities to leverage technology for increased efficiency.
4. Actively solving complex issues related to our production systems.
5. Developing into an all rounded professional ready to take on any challenge they are faced with.
6. Analysis of data sets to give transparency to the existing target environment with a view to offering improvement opportunities.
7. Supporting the implementation of the Value Production System and Work Organisation throughout the Assembly process.
Qualifications and Experience
8. Studying a Bachelor’s or integrated Master’s degree and on track to achieve a 2:2 or above in a Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant course.
9. Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing, Manufacturing Systems and or Quality Systems.
10. Ideally you will have a good knowledge of manufacturing techniques.
11. Able to communicate in the English language; German would be beneficial.
12. You need to be able to work independently within the management team, have the ability to organise yourself and work in a team environment.
13. You will be required to work from your own initiative taking projects and tasks from concept through to a complete and implemented solution.
14. Strong PC skills and a good working knowledge of MS Office.
15. Knowledge of Manufacturing Systems is desirable.
16. Any coding experience, such as SQL or Python, is considered advantageous.
