Barbounia is an elegant, all-day dining restaurant located within the luxurious Hotel Café Royal, a 5-star hotel in the heart of Central London near Piccadilly Circus. Specializing in modern Mediterranean cuisine, Barbounia serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, offering guests an exceptional dining experience in a refined setting. We are looking for a dedicated and personable Waiter to join our team and provide outstanding service to our discerning clientele.
The Role:
As a Waiter at Barbounia, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience by offering attentive, personalized service. You will work closely with our team to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring that every guest enjoys a memorable dining experience.
We are looking for team members who are flexible to work different shifts throughout the week. Barbounia is open all day from Tuesday to Saturday and only breakfast on Sunday and Monday.
Key Responsibilities:
* Greet guests warmly and guide them through the menu, offering recommendations and upselling when appropriate.
* Take orders accurately and communicate them to the kitchen team efficiently.
* Serve food and beverages in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring high standards of presentation and service.
* Attend to guest needs promptly and professionally, addressing any special requests or concerns to ensure guest satisfaction.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, ensuring tables are set up and cleared efficiently.
* Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth and coordinated service throughout the day.
* Process payments accurately and provide a seamless experience for guests from arrival to departure.
* Stay informed about the menu, daily specials, and any changes to ensure knowledgeable service.
* Uphold the hotels high standards and contribute to a positive and professional working environment.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a waiter in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant, preferably with a focus on Mediterranean cuisine.
* Excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Positive and professional attitude with a team-oriented mindset.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
* Knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine and wine is an advantage.
