Equity Release Finance Manager – Salary: circa £55,000
Do you love working with numbers and solving complex problems? Are you someone with accounting or actuarial skills looking to support our business? We have an exciting role on our Equity Release Commercial team, initially focusing on external funding but offering much more. You’ll get to learn about equity release, its funding, securitization, pricing, and lead value-creating projects for Aviva. The team oversees all ERM funding structures, pricing, and returns, while driving initiatives to improve performance, explore new acquisitions, and enhance business opportunities.

A bit about the job:
The role involves providing high-quality, flexible support to senior managers within the Securitisation team across various areas, such as managing external funding deals, reviewing investor reports and queries, and contributing to securitisation initiatives for ERM and other assets. It also includes understanding new business performance and exploring improvement options.
Responsibilities include building productive relationships with internal stakeholders and external counterparties, managing multiple workstreams with supporting teams, and identifying and managing risks within assigned projects and ERM securitisations.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
1. The ideal candidate is likely to be a qualified actuary or accountant, but consideration will be given to candidates who can demonstrate equivalent skills sets and relevant experience.
2. Good analytical skills and attention to detail, proficient in the use of excel and dealing with large datasets.
3. Financial modelling experience beneficial but not essential (VBA, Prophet, ALS, R)
4. Support good commercial outcomes and remain focused on key business objectives with a solid understanding of the key life company metrics and drivers.
5. Good written and verbal communication skills to write for governance committees and boards, and excellent stakeholder management with the ability to work across teams with ER and support functions, including Risk and Finance.

6. Starting salary circa £55,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
7. Bonus opportunity – 10% of annual salary Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
