The purpose of the role
A member of the Customer Services Team within the Sales department supports designated Account Manager(s) in all aspects of customer relationship management. This is a pivotal role providing a link from the customer to the Griffith Foods business. A key company interface with customers in all areas including orders, pricing, costing, forecasting, CRM pipeline support, samples, specifications requests, service levels, and other projects as defined in the Sales plan. Ensure that agreed Key Performance Indicators, Requirements, and Expectations are met or exceeded while effectively optimizing business performance.
Responsibilities
1. Enter all sales orders into ERP and follow through the system to dispatch and delivery of product to the customer.
2. Work closely with procurement, planning, quality assurance, dispatch, and transport to ensure timely deliveries.
3. Enter and maintain accurate customer information in ERP; amend/cancel orders as requested.
4. Record and monitor service levels in designated accounts.
5. Proactively work to optimize customer service levels.
6. Follow all procedures relating to inventory control to ensure minimum stock levels.
7. Control all goods returned from customers ensuring all actions are taken to customer satisfaction.
8. Ensure that products are launched in line with customer expectations and highlight any issues in advance.
9. Ensure that de-listings are handled minimizing exposure to the Griffith organization.
10. Support and work with the Summer Eating Sheet.
11. Manage price queries & requests and update the price book weekly.
12. Generate costing from new codes from PDI as required by Account Managers.
13. Generate quotes and file quotes & costing information based on information provided by the Account Manager.
14. Assist with forecasts by working closely with the sales team and procurement.
15. Understand customer requirements and activity.
16. Monitor forecast accuracy and work with account managers/customers to improve.
17. Support Account Manager(s) in management/administration of CRM.
18. Handle all sample enquiries – input requirements to CRM, monitor/update as needed, and manage PODs.
19. Forward all Specification and PDDS requests to Product Information.
20. Conduct customer visits as required to meet key contacts.
21. Understand Customer and market expectations and reference this against Griffith capabilities.
22. Proactively seek to improve customer relationships, service levels, and Griffith Foods profitability.
23. Keep the customer and Griffith Foods updated on all relevant issues in a timely manner.
24. Cover all roles within Customer Service during holidays & sickness.
25. Support the Health and Safety standards, rules, and regulations of the organization.
Requirements
* GCSE Level Maths and English.
* Minimum of 3 years' experience working in a customer-facing role, preferably in the food industry.
* Strong language and communication skills with fluency in English as a minimum.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Knowledge and experience of working with ERP systems.
