SOCIAL CONTENT EDITOR
We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes social content. They love to capture and shape content calendars and are always looking to shake things up. They love to jump in on social trends and look for ways to authentically make brands show up. It’s a very exciting role for someone to take under their wing and get really stuck in.
Hybrid - 3 days a week in our Golden Square office, with 2 working from home.
The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Social Content Editor who has a passion for running and running communities to lead in the creation of all social content for adidas Runners.
A proactive, motivated and creative Swiss army knife, they’ll have a hybrid role between a creative and editor/designer to help us create social friendly content quickly. They’ll work closely with the community managers to pack the content calendar with guidance and oversight from the strategy team. And they’ll be happy to create social-first films using footage shot by our community of creators to make engaging edits, as well as concepting and shooting their own ideas, and seeing these through from ideation to delivery. You’ll have a clear vision of how something should look and be able to clearly articulate that out to third parties to capture.
This role will be responsible for the generation of all creative output across key social channels – Instagram as a priority - as well as some Digital channels (blog, app and .com). As well as social content, you will be responsible for developing campaign visual identity/visual guidelines for global campaigns/individual’s output to ensure creative cohesion of campaigns.
The ideal candidate will be a social-first creative visionary, a great storyteller, brilliant editor, and fast worker who can generate quality content quickly. A passion for design and experience working in PPT is helpful but not mandatory.
The role requires experience in editing, graphics and sound design for social output.
Ideally this hire will be interested in sports and fitness with an added bonus for those with a passion for running and running clubs/communities/culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Create stand-out social edits and stills for the adidas Runners Instagram channel
* Edit content from our community of runners, and crafting their work into compelling social-first stories
* Create campaign visual guidelines/look and feel documents
* Creative ideation and development of social content concepts
* Support the development of the content calendar and creative outputs
* Live / on the ground event coverage with support from the community managers
* Work closely with the project manager to make sure we have everything needed for shoots/content capture opportunities. Attend shoots and provide creative direction
Skills
* Ability to brief external parties to capture content that aligns with your content vision
* Ability to find creative solutions with pre-existing assets
* Excellent, social-first editing and design skills for both static and video content
* Creative concepting and ideation to fill a content calendar
* Good presentation skills to bring ideas to life and take clients on the journey
* Work collaboratively with the team
* Comfortable working across live events
* Be proactive with ideas
* Understanding of social formats across, including but not limited to Instagram, YouTube and TikTok
* Familiar with Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, Premiere Pro and After Effects
