An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Generic Worker working within the South Rural Integrated Neighbourhood Team.
The South Rural Integrated Neighbourhood Team (INT) consists of occupational therapists and physiotherapists, district & community nurses, assistant practitioners and generic workers, who are led by a Therapy Lead, Nurse Lead and an Integrated Neighbourhood Team manager.
You may be required to work within the therapy and nursing teams; however the primary focus of this post will be to support the therapy team in providing community rehabilitation to patients in the community. This may include following exercise programmes as set by a physiotherapist, or the provision of equipment to patients, as assessed for by a therapist. Good communication skills are an essential requirement of this role.
You will be required to complete Band 3 therapy and nursing competencies as part of this role and training will be provided to support this.
The South Rural Integrated Neighbourhood team works across the South Rural area covered by the GP surgeries at Hadleigh, Bildeston, East Bergholt and Capel, Holbrook and Shotley however we are based at Beacon House, 53 White House Road, Ipswich IP1 5PB.
Applicants need to be a Driver and have access to a car for work which is community based
You will be actively supported by regular supervision and an individual annual appraisal. You will be expected to work autonomously and on behalf of the patients served by the local area. You will have access to skills development training relevant to the post.
The role involves providing therapy interventions to patients in the South Rural area. You will work closely with the therapists in the team and follow treatment plans that are set by them.
You will also be expected to complete nursing competencies as part of the generic worker role and carry out nursing interventions as required to housebound patients, following care plans as set by the nursing team.
